Kelsey + Jason [The E session]

This past Tuesday evening I did an awesome engagement photo session with Jason and Kelsey. They are getting married in March 2009. I met them after I left my full time job at a little park by the Palmdale library. This proved to be an excellent place to shoot locally. It wasn’t crowded and there was some neat architecture to work with as well. We just happened to turn the corner just in time to see the sun getting low on the horizon for some great sunset lighting.

Here’s a few from the evening we spent together. Thanks Jason and Kesley for such a great session. It was great shooting with you guys. I had a blast. And congrats once again.

Cool Camera Accessories

I just had to share this,. I was perusing (sp?) through the PIF Photo Blog and found this link. They have some seriously cool camera straps. A few brown and black ones too! My fav color combo. I think I may be asking for one of these for Christmas. Check it out.

Katy + Greg

Today I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding with a friend and fellow photographer Arielle out of Glendale, CA. The wedding was actually up here in the Antelope Valley. We had a blast shooting all day together. The ceremony was held at Palmdale United Methodist Church and the Reception was at the Hellenic Center in Lancaster. We started the day out nice and early since it was a 9am ceremony. The wedding was lovely, with lots of family and friends to celebrate with. Here is a little bit of what the wedding looked like through my eyes.

I totally loved how I captured this through the crack between the door and the wall. I’m always looking for some sort of unique perspective!

I loved some of the reactions I captured during the toasts!

And the kids were just adorable!

MSP Referral System

Michele Schanker Photography is proud to announce our new referral system. Here is how it works. It is totally simple!

Every client that books a session with Michele Schanker Photography is entitled to a referral bonus(s).

Essentially you will receive a $25 print credit good for your last session (or a future session) for every referral that books with Michele Schanker Photography.

Example: If you send two (2) people/families in my direction, they both mention they were referred by you, and they each book a session then you will receive $50 ($25 for each one booked) in print credit. Make sense? If you have questions, please feel free to send me an email.

In the very near future there will also be print ordering incentives too, so keep an eye out and I will post that information shortly.

Now since I hate posting without a photo, I thought I’d include some fall shots. These were taken in the Eastern Sierras while my husband and celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary with an out of town weekend.
